Powisle Hotel Warsaw hotel

Calmness and silence are surely trumps of the location of Powisle Hotel. But there is more. The hotel, surrounded by the green park, lets you breathe fresh air and enjoy its excellent localization in the city center - ¦ródmie¶cie district. The 8-storied, grey building the hotel is located in, hidden between the trees is, however, not visible from the main street leading to it.
The nice English speaking staff and a really descent (for the city center) price makes the hotel one of the best tourist class hotels in Warsaw. The offer of the Powi¶le hotel attracts business guests (excellent possibilities of organizing conferences and meetings for smaller and larger groups) and tourists looking for a good price offer for accommodation in the heart of the city.

Rooms

Depending on which kind of room you choose, you can stay in a single or double room. If you needed more space you can choose one suite consisting of two separate rooms. There are 138 accommodation places. The rooms are very alike, so it makes no difference what floor you choose. The interiors are arranged typically for the tourist class - simply - a bed, a bedside table with a lamp, a chair and a table. There is also a radio, a TV-set and a telephone. If you travel with big luggage, there is a spacious wardrobe in the corridor of every room. Each room has a bathroom with a shower cabin. The only disadvantage is the presence of tiles that make a cold impression.
There are no rooms prepared to meet the needs of the handicapped. To get to the hotel's lobby you have to go up the stairs. There are two lifts taking the guests to the higher floors.
There are separate rooms for the non-smokers.

Restaurant

Right next to the reception desk, there is the entrance to the hotel's café. If you are waiting for someone and do not want to go to far from the hotel's lobby you can sit at one of the tables standing in the corridor leading to the café. If you want to enjoy the view it is the best to sit at one of the tables where you can enjoy the view of the park.
The big, white-maroon café's room in the L-shape makes a pleasant impression. Here you can check what real Polish cuisine and Polish prices mean. For 20 PLN (about 5 EURO) you can have a two-course Polish dinner, e.g. with pork chop for the first course. Breakfast and supper are served as a buffet here, but if you wish you can choose something from the menu as well.
It is the coziest café I have seen in the tourist class hotels in Warsaw. The flickering glass-ball adds to the charm of the place and gives it an atmosphere of the disco of the 80s.

Conference rooms

There is a number of conference rooms of various sizes with all the necessary equipment, prepared for up to 300 participants. The smallest room is prepared for up to 10 people. The hotel's staff is very eager to help with organization of any kind of conference or meeting. The hotel's café provides catering service.

Additional Services

There is a guarded parking zone next to the hotel. It is worth mentioning that if you choose to leave a car there, you will have to pay 25 PLN (about 7 EURO) per 24 hours. There is a possibility of using the Internet (modem) in the rooms at the additional cost (it is the best to declare such a need at the reception desk).

Attractions nearby

Localization right in the city center makes the access to all the historical buildings located along the Royal Tract very easy. As the hotel is surrounded by parks it is also a perfect place to take a walk to Lazienki Park or to the Vistula River. If you head for the river it is worth stopping for a minute to admire the monument "Glory for the Sappers". On the way back through the southern part of the Park of Rydz-¦mig³y you can meet an older, bald man with a walking stick sitting still on a bench. Don't let your senses fool you, it is just an excellent sculpture (unfortunately I got no information on who it could be).
If you are a sports type, I recommend taking the offer of the nearby Sports Center Torwar into consideration. You can play tennis or skate there.
There are also a few shops, a pharmacy and some smaller newspaper stands near the hotel.

Powisle Hotel Warsaw

- Location

The Hotel is hidden next to a small street perpendicular to Rozbrat Street. You can take a bus from there and in less than five minutes it will take you to the Royal Tract.
To get to the hotel from the Railway Central Station you have to take the bus no. 118 and go to the "Czerniakowska" bus stop. The journey to the hotel will take no more than 7 minutes.
To get to the hotel from the airport you have to take the bus no. 175 and change to 118 or 171 on "DH Smyk" bus stop. If you choose 171 you have to go to "¦niegockiej" bus stop. You can always order a taxi which will be an easier way out, as the hotel is "hidden" among the trees and it could be difficult to look for it yourself.
