The Polonia Palace Hotel is located in the heart of Warsaw, about 500 meters away from the Central Station. The hotel makes a huge impression right from the first sight. You will understand why the hotel has a word “palace” in its name right after you see the building. The hotel looks especially impressive after dusk, when its ornamented façades are illuminated. The hotel was built in the beginning of the 20th century, in a Parisian style which was supposed to refer to the architecture from the times of Louis XVI. The splendor resulting from that fact remained till nowadays both when it comes to the building and the interiors of the Polonia Hotel.

Rooms

The Polonia Hotel has prepared 192 DeLuxe rooms, including singles and doubles. The rooms are arranged in an excellent style. They combine the fantastic old Paris architecture and modernity. The furniture is really well-kept. There is a spacious bathroom in every DeLuxe room. The bathrooms are equipped with floor heating, which makes every bath a very pleasant experience. There is a possibility of controlling the air conditioning in every room, so that the temperature is most suiting. While resting on a huge (two-meter) bed, you can watch television, cable TV as well (on a special request the hotel staff will equip the room with the video-set), listen to the radio, enjoy a drink from the mini-bar or just pull the blackout curtains, turn on the lamp by the bed and read a newspaper. The relaxation will not be disturbed by any noise as the windows are soundproofed. Apart from that there is a telephone, Internet connection and a safe in every room.
Three of the DeLuxe rooms are prepared for the handicapped guests.
Apart from the DeLuxe rooms, there are five DeLuxe Corner rooms. A guest that chooses that type of room can expect more space, bigger TV (25’’) and an unforgettable city view.
Junior Suites are even bigger (a living-room and a bedroom). There are two TV sets, one in the living room, one in the bedroom, and a CD player.
All the rooms in Suits have their own bathroom and an exceptional city view.
For the guests of the highest expectations there is an English Suit on the sixth floor prepared (two bedrooms, two marble bathrooms, one living room, guest-room and a corridor). There are all the DeLuxe amenities in the English Suit. Additionally, there are three TV sets, CD player with the CD collection, three direct phone lines and beautiful, mahogany furniture in English style.
There is a separate floor for the non-smoking guests.

Restaurant

There is one of the most elegant restaurants in Warsaw in the Polonia Hotel. The indeed palace interiors of the Ludwikowska room will be perfect for organization of an exquisite business meeting or an unforgettable romantic dinner. The restaurant’s chef – Mr. Andrzej Polan will provide you with a wonderful culinary adventure through the Old Polish cuisine. Dishes from the Mediterranean cuisine and a wide range of wines make an excellent supplement for the richness of food served in the restaurant. Such delicacies as duck’s leg in Marsala sauce with buttered beans and fresh rosemary or slices of roasted rack of lamb with jus potatoes with parsley pesto and golden cloves of garlic will make every meeting in that exceptional interiors a special event. As a dessert I suggest taking meringue of cinnamon filled with cappuccino cream, Californian plums and walnuts marinated with rum.
The prices in Ludwikowska room may be not low, still I think that considering such elegancy and splendor it is worth it. A complete dinner with a starter and dessert costs about 150 PLN (about 38 EURO).
There is a stylish bar in the Polonia Palace Hotel named “Bojangles”. Climatic bar space filled with swing music, i.e. Frank Sinatra or Ella Fizgerald will be a perfect place for spending time with friends or setting up a business meeting. A mug of beer costs here 12 PLN (about 3 EURO).
A wide range of homemade cakes and desserts served in elegant atmosphere of a Vienna interior can be found in Restaurant Strauss. Apart from that you can choose from a wide spectrum of teas and coffees. A la carte dishes are served seven day a week, from 9 am till 10pm.

Conference rooms

The Polonia Palace Hotel has five conference rooms, a banquet room, a multifunctional one and a board room. The biggest groups should use the most spacious – Ludwikowska room, 118m2 large. Meetings for up to 300 people can be organized there. Some of the conference rooms have an access to the daylight, some have only artificial lights.
Apart from the standard equipment, in some rooms there are sound systems, projectors, big screens, one of the rooms is equipped with dolby surround system and 50’’ plasma screen. The conference rooms are arranged with splendor and are a perfect place for organization of an elegant business meeting, conference or an unforgettable banquet.
Business Center located close to the conference rooms is available 24 hours a day.

Additional Services

There is a modern fitness center in the Polonia Palace Hotel. The equipment in the gym provided by a renowned company will satisfy even the most demanding guest. After the exercises you can get a sun tan in the hotel’s solarium or rest in one of two saunas. The fitness club is available 24 hours a day and is free of charge for all the hotel guests.
The restaurant’s chef invites the guests to his Cooking Academy. The subject matter is always adjusted to the guests’ needs. The price for the course (100PLN = about 25 EURO/person/hour) includes: tasting of the dishes, table wine and non-alcoholic drinks and the recipe of the prepared dish or menu. After having graduated from the course a guest receives a Cooking Academy of the Polonia Palace Hotel certificate, which will surely be a great souvenir from the stay in the hotel.
