Warsaw Novotel Airport Hotel is one of the first hotels of this brand in Eastern Europe. Since the 70s, thousands of thousands if guests have visited the hotel, now they can enjoy the fully renovated interiors and modern solutions (e.g. Novotel was the first hotel to provide guests with WiFi access points). Over the two-storied, older part of the building there is a new, modern wing sparkling with blue glass reflexes. The wing contains almost 300 comfortable rooms, restaurant with bar, a few conference rooms and a fitness center. This is a great hotel for guests that visit Warsaw only as a stop on their journey and would like to stay as close to the airport as possible. The guests traveling with their children will also be satisfied with the hotel’s offer: there is a special menu for children in the restaurant and a fun-corner (surely will be expanded in the future).
There will be no problem with communicating in English, Polish, German and French at the reception desk.
Rooms
The staff often speaks of the "high" and "low" part of the hotel. The new "high" part has increased the quality of the hotel very much, the "low" part couldn’t have stay old and has been fully renovated.
After the renovation, there are 277 air-conditioned rooms ("standard" and more comfortable "executive" ones) and a suite at guests’ disposal. The rooms in both parts are similar, only the décor of the bathrooms is slightly different. The ones in the "high" part are a little nicer.
The rooms are big (additionally there is a possibility of joining them), bright and equipped with comfortable desks and fast Internet connection. There is a mini-bar, a TV-sat, pay-TV, radio and a direct telephone line. In some of the rooms there is also a safe and tea and coffee service. There is a 24 hour service. An interesting element of the rooms is the fact that the bathrooms and toilets are separated. The card opening the doors also turns the lights and the power on.
Over a half of the rooms is prepared for the non-smokers. If I may suggest something, it is worth choosing the room with garden and swimming-pool view.
There are four rooms prepared for the handicapped. There are no stairs and three lifts take the guests to the higher floors of the hotel.
Restaurant
There are meals from the international (with emphasis on Polish and French) cuisine served in "Garden Brasserie". The prices are a little higher than in a restaurant in the city. The dinner costs about 50-70PLN (about 15-20EURO). The buffet breakfasts will surprise you with their rich offer of the snacks.
Between 4:30 and 6 am the restaurant offers cakes, cookies, coffee and tea (the "Early bird" program). The "owls" can have the so called "small breakfast", served in the bar till 12 am.
You can enjoy snacks, desserts, hot and cold beverages till 1 am in the hotel bar.
Novotel does not forget about its youngest guests. "The Scarab’s Gifts" (mini tomatoes with mini mozzarella) and "Treasures hidden in the Sand-dune" (meat balls hidden in a macaroni hill) are only two of the meals offered in the kids’ menu "Dolfi".
Conference rooms
There are nine conference rooms in the hotel. There is a possibility of joining them together, so a conference for up to 600 people will not be a problem. The basic equipment is free of charge (the screen, flipchart), the rest of the equipment is provided on request at an additional price. The restaurant provides catering service.
Additional Services
The guests can use the free of charge airport transfer. An earlier reservation of the places in both directions is highly recommended as it may happen that there are too many guests willing to use the transfer service at a time.
There is also a possibility of renting a bus to get to the city center. It will be cheaper, especially when there is a group traveling.
Apart from that the guests can use the PC with Internet access and a printer connected at no charge in the Business Corner.
The surroundings of the reception lobby are full of surprises. There is a little gallery, where you can buy souvenirs, jewellery and paintings, and a newspapers stand.
Without any additional price you can enjoy a sun-bath on the hotel’s terrace or cool down in the swimming-pool in the garden. The guests from Norway were swimming in the swimming-pool in November, however we recommend summer. The gym, sauna and Jacuzzi are included in the price of the rooms as well.
The guests with their pets are also welcome. The stay of a pet is 20PLN (about 6EURO) per day.
The guests are also free to choose whether they wish to leave their cars in the free of charge parking zone or if the would like the guard to watch their car (35PLN per day).
