MDM Hotel Warsaw

The MDM Hotel is located in the Warsaw’s Centre and it crowns one of the Warsaw’s main Squares – the Constitution Square. It is one of those hotels that enjoy their popularity thanks to the excellent localization. The building itself is not eye-catching. It seems to be the integral item of the neighboring buildings. The café-garden, where the guests enjoy their meals might be the landmark. The hotel is especially popular among the guests coming to Warsaw as tourists, still the offer concerning the organization of the conferences attracts the business clients as well. You can easily communicate in Polish, English and German in the hotel.

Rooms

The MDM hotel has prepared 120 rooms for the guests, including single and twin rooms, superior rooms (Lux and King rooms) and two suites. In fact the difference in standards consist in the difference if the size of the rooms. There is also some additional furniture, e.g. sofa or additional table. All the rooms are equipped with comfortable beds, pay tv, desk, telephone, mini-bar (additionally paid) and central heating. On a special request the rooms are also equipped with a fast Internet connection. The rooms are modestly arranged, still well-kept. The bathrooms are quite small and surely not meant for hours-long baths. However the bathrooms in the rooms of a higher quality seem to be more shiny and they are bigger. There is one room prepared to meet the needs of the handicapped.

There is one drawback as far as the rooms are concerned. There is no air-conditioning. Although there is a possibility of opening the windows, but most of the windows face the Constitution Square, which is one of the main street junction of Warsaw, and due to that the noise is inevitable. But there is no other hotel, where the guest can enjoy such a city view – the Constitution Square along with the main street of Warsaw – Marshall Street (Marszalkowska).

Restaurant

The MDM hotel attracts the French cuisine’s fans, as that is what is served in the hotel restaurant “Le Loup”. In bright, aesthetic interiors of the restaurant or in the café-garden enjoying the city views you can taste such delicacies as smoked salmon served with pancakes of buckwheat flour and yeast, and the pickles salad. The interiors of the restaurant may not be magnificent, but the way tables are arranged, covered with white cloths and decorated with golden elements make a huge impression. For the main dish I suggest choosing the veal escalope in fresh sorrel sauce served with gnocchi or cooked panga fish with vegetable salad. After such a feast, you are left with the decision concerning the dessert. Of course, it is a matter of taste, but I think it is impossible to resist the temptation of cheese mousse with black currant coulis. Incredible!
Additionally, you do not have to spend fortune for all those delicacies. The prices in “Le Loup” are comparable with those in most good restaurants in Warsaw. For example, the escalope I would choose cost 30 zlotys (about 10 USD) and the cheese mousse – 10 zlotys (about 3 USD). All of it is worth much more.
The restaurant is open 11am-10pm, seven days a week.

There is an absolute restaurant-hit just around the corner. It is called “Chlopskie Jadlo” (Peasant Food). The restaurant does not belong to the hotel, but it would be a sin to forget to mention it. “Peasant Food” is a restaurant in a peasant style, so is the food served. You can rarely find a restaurant, where you can enjoy the traditional Polish food. “”Peasant Food” offers “pierogi”, “flaki” or “zrazy”. If you visit the restaurant with friends, it is the best to order the peasant’s bowl, which is a mixture of most of the delicacies of the traditional, Polish cuisine. http://www.chlopskiejadlo.com.pl

And if you would like to pass the Polish cuisine border, there is a Czech restaurant “U Szwejka” tempting with the aroma of schnitzels, sausage and Beherovka right next to “Peasant Food”.

Conference rooms

The MDM hotel offers four conference rooms. The biggest one is 180m2 big and is prepared for up to 60 people (theatre arrangement). All of the conference rooms are equipped with the instruments necessary for organizing a successful business meeting, incl. a fast Internet connection. Apart from that, there is a Business Center in a near proximity to the conference rooms.
The MDM Hotel is proud of the professional organization of the banquettes. Menu prepared by the hotel’s restaurant will surely please anyone who chooses to organize such an event in this hotel.

Additional Services

The hotel does not have its own parking zone, but there is city parking in front of the hotel (paid Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm)

There is a special offer for the young people coming to Warsaw. Anyone who is less than 25 years old, and has a valid students’ ID can enjoy the special weekend discounts up to 50% off the regular price.

MDM Hotel Warsaw

- Location

The MDM Hotel is located in the heart of Warsaw, on the Constitution Square, which is connected with the city’s main street – Marshall Street (Marszalkowska).
The localization of the hotel is one of its biggest trumps. Nearby, on the Constitution Square, there are a lot of shops and restaurants.
A few bus stops away, there is a shopping center “Galeria Centrum”, where you can spend few hours shopping. In the neighborhood of “Galeria Centrum” there are a lot of pubs, that are there for you to visit them in the evening, and modern clubs (in Mazowiecka Street), e.g. Tygmont, where jazz concerts and dance evenings are organized. While being in “Centrum” you can go to the cinema (Atlantic, Relax, or Kinoteka situated in the Palace of Science and Culture) or go to Luna (near the hotel) that offers the European and alternative movies. There is also the Music Theatre “Roma”. It is worth being up-to-date with the repertoire, as it would be a shame to miss one of the worldwide known musical while being in Warsaw.

To get to the hotel from the Central Station, you have to take the bus no. 119, 131, 501, 502, 505, 514 or 525 and go to the “Pl. Konstytucji” bus stop. The hotel is right next to the bus stops.

To get to the hotel from the airport, you have to take the bus no. 175 and go to “Centrum” bus stop, then take the bus no. 405, 501, 502, 505, 514, 519, 525, 117, 119, 131, 515, 520, 522, 524 or a tram no. 18, 36, 15 or 35 and go to “Pl. Konstytucji” bus stop.

In both cases you can take a taxi. I strongly recommend against taking a taxi waiting directly by the airport or by the Central Station, as their prices are 50-100% higher than those offered by other taxi companies in Warsaw.
