Ibis Old Town Hotel Warsaw hotel

Rooms

There are 333 rooms in the Warsaw Centre Ibis Hotel. 212 rooms are prepared for the non-smoking guests. A guest can choose between single and double rooms. Each one is equipped with air conditioning, telephone and a neat, though not too big bathroom with the toilet. There is a bed (single or double depending on the kind of the room), a wardrobe and two chairs standing by the counter that can be used as a desk. When it comes to the beds, a guest has to say what kind of bed they want. In most of the "doubles" there is a "king" bed - one big bed meant for two people. In every room there is a modem connection and high-speed Internet, you have to pay additionally for. Wireless Internet (Hot Spot) is at the guests' disposal only in chosen rooms and at an additional charge. On a special request the hotel provides guests with office materials. Personally, however, I suggest a trip to one of the closely located shops to buy them. First of all you can avoid the "hotel prices"; secondly it is a must to go and see the Old Town which is really close to the hotel, visit its museums, galleries, pubs and have dinner in one of the Old Town's restaurants. And if there is no time to eat outside the hotel...

Restaurant

...if there is no time, there is a hotel restaurant "L'Estaminet" in Ibis. It is open 12:00-22:30. The net of the "L'Estaminet" restaurants was founded together with the French net of the Ibis Hotels. And if it is a French hotel the style of the restaurant refers to the typically French diner. There is a place for 156 people. Non-smokers after choosing the non-smokers area don't have to inhale the smoke coming from the neighboring table. Smokers, on the other hand, do not have to listen to the meaningful coughing of a non-smoking guest. The tables with the decorative, brass legs are covered with the red and white checked, plastic-like tablecloth. Numerous cupboards made of dark wood along with the pictures of various European cities result in the impression of coziness and homeliness.
L'Estaminet offers a wide range of the dishes from the French cuisine. However, there are also dishes from Polish or Italian cuisine served. As a main dish you can have a salmon in the pepper sauce or pierogi (ravioli made Polish way), or a pork shank. There is a choice of Italian pastas in the restaurant. The best way to start a dinner in "L'Estaminet" is by choosing one of the soups, which are marvelous and made the "L'Estaminet" restaurants' net famous. The thick onion soup, made with wine is not a soup for a delicate stomach but it is worth sinning against one's diet, even if it means giving up the main dish.
Having come to the Ibis Hotel with a child, a guest can choose a dish from a specially prepared "children's menu". Apart from that, there are specially adapted chairs waiting for the youngest guests of the hotel.

You cannot forget to finish the dinner with a different-kinds-of-cheese board, chocolate mousse and a cup of black coffee as they do in a French restaurant. The prices in the restaurant are of two kinds. Having chosen the "regular", not very refined dishes a guest will have to pay what they would pay in an average restaurant outside the hotel. But while choosing the dishes called in the hotel "chef's sins" you have to expect the "hotel prices". There are, however, two buts. First of all there are various special price offers in the restaurant that make it possible to have a full dinner at a reasonable price. Furthermore, I wouldn't call those delicacies "chef's sins" but "chef's good deeds"!
After a hard day a guest can relax in a "Rendez Vous" bar located on a ground floor of the hotel. In the air-conditioned bar you can relax over coffee, beer, drink or cocktail watching television. The hotel's staff recommends watching the current sport events in "Rendez Vous".

Conference rooms

There are six conference rooms of various sizes in the Warsaw Center Ibis Hotel. The biggest one is meant for up to 44 people. The smallest is used for small business meetings for up to 10 people. All of the conference rooms are equipped with air conditioning, over-head projectors, video sets and all instruments necessary for the successful business meeting. The prices are various depending on the size of the conference room.

Additional Services

There is an underground parking in the Warsaw Center Ibis Hotel. A guest can use a parking space at additional charge the whole day or during the chosen hours. By using the parking space for chosen hours it is worth considering if it is not better to leave the car e.g. at the back of the hotel. The parking zone there is not guarded but it is much more inexpensive.

For an additional price the hotel welcomes guests who travel with pets.

Curious detail

In all of the Ibis Hotels there is a "Contact-15 minutes" system implemented. It guarantees that any problem connected with the staying in the hotel will be solved within 15 minutes from pointing it out to the staff.

Ibis Old Town Hotel Warsaw

Location

The location of the Warsaw Stare Miasto Ibis Hotel is an element that adds a lot to its value. As the name suggests the hotel is located near to the Old Town (Stare Miasto), which is an obligatory area to see while visiting Warsaw. The Old Town, with a lot of museums, monuments, galleries, pubs, clubs, with its net of picturesque streets and buildings that still seem to be living the history is only a walk away from the hotel (about 1 km).
Apart from that, it is only about 15 minutes by bus to the Warsaw's Centre for the hotel.
To get from the Central Station to the hotel you have to take the bus no. 127 or 175 and go to "Muranowska" bus stop.

There is also a direct connection between the hotel and the airport. All you have to do is take the bus no. 175 and go straight to "Muranowska" bus stop located next to the hotel.

In both cases you can take a taxi. I strongly recommend against taking a taxi waiting directly by the airport or by the Central Station, as their prices are 50-100% higher than those offered by other taxi companies in Warsaw.
