If you are looking for an accommodation in the Warsaw's Center, still you do not like noise it is worth taking staying in Harenda into consideration. This small, cozy hotel located in the grey-yellow, two-storied tenement house makes you feel the historical atmosphere thanks to the old churches and impressive, stylish palaces nearby.
Because of its localization Harenda Hotel is the best place for business guests and tourists who are planning visiting the most representative parts of Warsaw: New and Old Town.
Unfortunately, the Harenda Hotel is not a place for the handicapped. Too many stairs and no lifts will probably be a too big obstacle.
It is worth planning to stay in Warsaw over the weekend, as the hotel often offers special promotions such as "second night for free".

Rooms

There are 36 singles, 5 double rooms and 2 suites in the hotel. The rooms are rather small, however cozy and quiet. There is a bathroom (unfortunately very small) in every room. The rooms are equipped with telephone and TV-sat.
The arrangement deserved the two stars hotel has. The rooms are modest, but neat and pleasant. There is a bed, a table, chairs and a lamp in every room. There are separate rooms prepared for the non-smokers. There are no amenities for the disabled.
It is interesting that on two floors of the building there are various companies' offices. During the week in the mornings and afternoons you can meet people here, who are not hotel's guests. That's when the building can seem to be quite crowded. However the interiors and the rooms of the hotel are intimate and calm.

Restaurant

The underground part of the hotel is a paradise for Italian cuisine fans. There is a restaurant called “Maska” partly owned by a famous Polish actor and singer Michał Milowicz. A lot of Polish stars from the film and music world visit this place from time to time. Also the politicians and businessmen appreciate the atmosphere in “Maska”. The proof of that is a large collection of pictures of stars having great fun taken in “Maska” restaurant. You can watch them before entering the restaurant and inside. Paved floors, maroon-beige interiors are lit with the fire glaring in the fireplace, which makes the place more cozy and pleasant. There are theme evening organized in the restaurant, for example on Wednesdays, while eating black spaghetti with squids and cherry tomatoes (highly recommended!) you can listen to the 70' and 80' music. The prices are average for a restaurant in Warsaw. The grill fans should take a few steps down the stairs to "Piwnica pod Harendą" ("Cellar under Harenda") located next to the hotel.

Conference rooms

The hotel is not a perfect place for large conferences – there is only one conference room for up to 30 people. It décor is rather simple and ascetic, perfect for concentration. "Zielona" ("Green") as the room is called is equipped with flipchart and screen, additional equipment such as multimedia projector or OHP can be ordered separately. During the coffee breaks the participants can order one of the prepared sweet snacks set, have tea or coffee or have lunch from the special lunch menu. Such a two-course lunch costs 35 PLN (about 10 EURO).

Attractions nearby

For the hotel's guests there is a possibility to use a free of charge Internet in the "@POINT" room located right next to the entrance.
Similarly to most of the hotels in the city center Harenda Hotel does not have its own parking zone. There are, however some possibilities of leaving the car in a safe place. Less than 50 meters away, in Karasia Street, there is a guarded parking zone (about 35-45 PLN = 10 EURO per 24 hours).
